Thanks for checking out the blog. Its use is for the sun users group to converse back and forth on topics that are of interest to DFWsug. I would like to ask that we all refrain from bad language and anything that reflects badly upon the group. Other than that, feel free to share your ideas and comments.
It was great having those of you who showed up on the 6^th of December, and i feel we accomplished quite a bit in the short amount of time we had that night. For those of you who missed the event because of the short notice, we discussed forming a board so that the Sun users group can be fully functional and ran by the sun users themselves. (That means you :)!) I am setting up an alias today for those interested in being on the board, just email the alias and we will contact you directly. The email address for the board is committee@dfwsug.org <mailto:committee@dfwsug.org>. I am also in the process of getting a blog setup on the website to allow members to communicate with one another. We also discussed setting up additional mailing lists for specific topics such as Disaster recovery, or Solaris 10, more or less , trying to take a community within a community approach to allow a free flowing information sharing. As promised, here are a list of topics i came up with help layout a calender for the next twelve months. Please respond with what your choices are directly to my email address at sun Coberen.Mark@sun.com <mailto:Coberen.Mark@sun.com>. Include any topic areas you would like to see even if there not on the list. Remember, this users group is run by you the users and we at sun would like it to be of great value. I do apologize for getting this email out so late. As you all know, it is year end and we at Sun have been extremely busy.
